To allow time for your application to be processed and any visa application to be completed, your application should reach us on or before the deadline for application stated in the table above. For more information regarding the visa application process, please see the UK Visas and Immigration website.

Please accept your offer by the deadline stated in the table. This allows us time to ensure that our staffing arrangements take into account all of the students we're expecting to join us, and protects the student experience. We can't guarantee a place for you on the course if you don't accept your place by the deadline.

We encourage all students to begin study on the first day of the course, but recognise that there are rare occasions when visa or travel issues mean that you can't do this. For every entry point, you'll see a latest arrival date in the table. We expect all students to begin their studies by 5pm Liverpool time on that date. It won't be possible for you to make up the missed work if you arrive after that date, so we won't allow you to join the course if you miss this deadline. All online students are expected to register and attend from the first day of the course. Late registrations won't be permitted for online courses.

Please note that if you're not able to start on the first day of the course:

  • The amount of study and work you're required to complete remains the same. All students are required to pass the course irrespective of the point at which they commence it
  • The course fee must be paid in full, regardless of length of attendance and circumstances for late arrival.

In addition to holiday weeks where no teaching takes place, you should be aware of the upcoming UK Public Holidays. No lessons will take place on these days and the English Language Centre will be closed. Please be aware that normal weekly fees apply.

For latest possible course start dates, please contact our Admissions Team via email at elc-admissions@liverpool.ac.uk.
